These are later sittings. In awe of St. Joseph (detail) from Montreal.

Ribera (1591-1652)

One of the most humbling experiences I've had was seeing San Bartolome at the Prado. I had looked at many paintings but this was the first time a painting was looking at me. Here are two first sittings; the first of Jonathan and the second a study from the first. I want to try and sculpt the white lead and mimick Ribera's seamless skin folds.
